Spring Casual Classic: Oxford Shirt and Jeans
A cotton Oxford button-up shirt and jeans is one of our favourite casual ways to dress in Spring, but of course it looks great year-round. It’s comfortable and classic, and yet contemporary at the same time. This look never goes out of style.
Oxford cloth is a wonderful cotton because it’s very durable and really soft against the skin. It keeps you cool when the weather is warmer, and a classic Oxford shirt is great for layering in the colder months. Fashion fact here for you guys: In the garment trade the word “Oxford” refers to the symmetrical basket weave of the cloth or that the cloth was invented in 19th century Scotland & not the city of Oxford? It may also surprise you to know that the Oxford shirt was originally used for polo players back in the day, here in the UK.
